INTRODUCTION
The properties in the Signature Activity can be set to require an administrator to confirm the signature for completion of the activity. When this checkbox is checked, an administrator will be required to approve the activity for the activity status to be marked complete.
This article will provide instructions to approve the signature activity. Please refer to the following articles:

APPROVE SIGNATURE ACTIVITY
When a user has launched and signed the signature activity that requires approval, the status of the quiz will display as, "In Progress". The administrator will be required to approve the signature activity before the status will change to complete.
Follow these steps to approve the signature activity:
- Click the Administration tab at the top of the screen
- Click Tracking and Completion, then Approve Signature on the left menu bar
- Click the Edit icon to the left of desired user.
Note: you may also select multiple records using your CTRL + left mouse button or SHIFT + left mouse button and click the Approve button on the menu bar. - Optional: Click in the signature field to sign your name.
- Click the Accept button to approve the signature.
Note: the Revert button will revert any signature added to the signature field. The Skip button will skip the approval process and return you to the Approve Signature screen. - Click the YES button on the Save Changes screen.
- Click the Done button on the Review screen.
- You will be returned to the Approve Signature screen. The entry will disappear from the screen. Once approved, you will be unable to access the approve signature for that user.
DENY SIGNATURE ACTIVITY
When a user has launched and signed the signature activity that requires approval, the status of the quiz will display as, "In Progress". The administrator can deny approval of the signature activity.
Use Caution: This means that the activity will never be complete. Denying the signature activity delete the approval request. This means that a supervisor will never be able to approve the signature activity and the status of the activity will remain "In Progress".
Follow these steps to deny the signature activity:
- Click the Administration tab at the top of the screen
- Click Tracking and Completion, then Approve Signature on the left menu bar
- Click the Delete icon to the left of the desired user.
Note: you may also select multiple records using your CTRL + left mouse button or SHIFT + left mouse button and click the Deny button on the menu bar. - Click the Yes button on the Confirmation screen.
- Click the OK button on the Delete screen.
- The entry will disappear from the screen. Once deleted, you will be unable to access the approve signature for that user.
