New Alternate Password if Using Mobile Apps
You can now set up a secondary, expiring password for a user account for use with our mobile apps. This will be especially useful to allow single sign-on users to use the mobile apps via a secondary password when outside of their company’s network.
The Alternate Password section on the user record will only be visible when these functions are enabled:
- The security role has the "Manage Alternate Passwords" function enabled.
- The alternate passwords on the System >> Configuration screen is enabled. Please refer to Configuration article to learn how to enable alternate passwords.
- You have generated a new alternate password on the user record for each user you would like to use an alternate password. Please refer to the Users: Create, Edit, and Delete article to learn how to enable alternate passwords.
TRAINING IMPORT AND CREATION
Manage Class Roster
Improved performance of the Manage Class Roster page. We’ve completely reprogrammed the background query to significantly reduce the time it takes to load the Manage Class Roster page.
TRACKING AND COMPLETIONS
Added Selection Options in the Credit Wizard
This newly added feature applies to administrators with multiple security role targets. For example, your security role access allows you to view two of the three regions or sites in your organization. Or, you have access to training content in a shared content repository.
Previously when crediting users, administrators with multiple security role targets had to change their Location to view Users, Activities, and Qualifications for which they have permissions. Now, when crediting users in the Credit Wizard, administrators can select "Users I have permissions for" and "Activities or Qualifications I have permission for” as an option in the “Look for:” drop-down menu.
The Credit Training: Credit Wizard article has been updated to include these selections.
Score Field Added to Step 3 of Credit Wizard
A score field has been added to Step 3 of the Credit Wizard. This allows you to add a score to any activity. This is an optional field. The Activity Completed On and Time Spent (Minutes) fields have been updated to indicate they are required entry fields.
The Credit Training: Credit Wizard article has been updated to include the Score field.
Add Attachment Added to Step 3 of Credit Wizard
An Add Attachment button has been added to Step 3 of the Credit Wizard. This allows you to add any attachment to the completion record. For example, a sign in sheet to an event.
The Credit Training: Credit Wizard article has been updated to include instructions to add an attachment.
New Bulk Import for Completion Records
Previously, individual completion records had to be entered manually through the Credit Wizard. Now, administrators can import a CSV template with completion records for multiple users and activities at once. Please refer to the Credit Training: Bulk Import Historical Completion Records article for instructions to perform a bulk import.
A new security role function has been added called Import Completions and has been automatically turned on for the following security roles:
- Credit Training
If you have created custom security roles and wish to allow that function for those roles, please refer to the Security Roles: Create a Custom Security Role article to learn how to enable that function.
Usernames Now Appear on the Track Tasklist Completion Screen
Previously, only a user’s first and last names appeared on the Track Tasklist Completion screen. This created potential confusion for companies with users who have the same first and last names. Now, the username is displayed to easily identify the correct user to credit with Tasklist completion.
Added the "Number of Tasks Required" for Tasklist Completion
When instructors are checking off items on a Tasklist, the Track Tasklist Completion screen displays which tasks are required. The task number will display in red when the task is required. In addition, the Completion field will display the number of required tasks.
The Credit Training: Track Tasklist Completion article has been updated to reflect this change.
Group Membership Report
A new report, the Group Membership Report was added, to show users currently in Groups.
Please refer to the Group Membership Report article to learn more about this report.
Scheduled Reports Feature Now Offers CSV File Option
You can now schedule emailed reports with the option to include an attached CSV file in addition to our other file formats. This can be very helpful if you need to sync the report information with a system that has issues with Excel or other formats.
New Assignment Notification No Longer Sent for Completed Training
The New Assignment notification will no longer be sent for assignments that have already been completed. This will reduce confusion in situations when a user has already completed training and the administrator reassigns the same training. If the user has already completed the training for the given training cycle, they will not be sent another New Assignment Notification.
