INTRODUCTION
There are many reasons to manage activities. This article provides instructions to perform the following actions:
- Attachments: Add, view, or delete attachments added to the activity
- Location: Change an activity's location
- Recomplete Activities: Force user's to recomplete and activity
- Repository: Change the file repository for the file the activity is linked to
- Thumbnail: Add, remove or replace a thumbnail displayed on the user's Training and Catalog tab when in small or large icon view

EDIT AN ACTIVITY
Follow these steps to edit an activity:
- Click the Administration tab at the top of the screen
- Click the Activities link, then Activities on the left menu bar
- Refer to the Using Search article to search and locate the desired activity
- Click the Edit icon to the left of the desired activity
- Make the desired changes on the Edit Activity screen.
- Click the Save button
- Click the Close button after the Changes Saved confirmation appears.
ATTACHMENTS: ADD, VIEW, OR DELETE
You can add attachments to an activity. For example, a class agenda or documents that you would like the user to read prior to or following training.

CHANGE AN ACTIVITY LOCATION
The location determines which administrators can access activities for assignment to their users. You can change the location of the activity when an activity has been added to the wrong location.
Note: Existing assignments or previous use of this activity will not be affected by changing a location or repository.
Follow these steps to change an activity location:
- Click the Administration tab at the top of the screen
- Click the Activities link, then Activities on the left menu bar
- Search and locate the desired item following the directions provided in the Using Search article
- Click the Edit icon to the left of the desired activity
- Click the Select button to the right of the location field
- Choose the organization type from the list of available selections in the Look for drop-down list
- Select the desired location from the Available Records table
- Click the Select button on the menu bar
- You will be returned to the Edit Activity screen. The new location will be displayed in the Location field.
- Click the Save button
- Click the Close button if the changes to the activity are complete
RECOMPLETE ACTIVITIES
When an activity has been updated and the change is significant, you can force users who have already completed the activity to complete it again. If notifications are turned on and the user has an email address in their user record, they will receive a notification indicating that the activity has been updated and their completion status has changed from complete to incomplete.
Follow these steps to force users to recomplete an activity:
- Click the Administration tab at the top of the screen
- Click the Activities link, then Activities on the left menu bar
- Search and locate the desired item following the directions provided in the Using Search article
- Click the Edit button to the left of the desired activity
- Scroll down to the Recomplete Activity section
Note: The section will display the number of users that have previously completed the activity. - Check the box "Require users to recomplete this activity"
- Click the Save button
- A Changes Saved confirmation will appear in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Click the Close button
- You will be returned to the Manage Activities screen
CHANGE A FILE REPOSITORY
When you import or create any training content, the LMS stores the file in a file repository. If your company has multiple repositories, the file may have been saved in the wrong repository. Changing a file repository means that when you move the file to a new repository, any LMS Administrator with a target of the location you are moving the file to will be able to access the activity.
Note: Existing assignments or previous use of this activity will not be affected by changing a location or repository.
Follow these steps to change a file repository:
- Click the Administration tab at the top of the screen
- Click Activities, then Activities on the left menu bar
- Search and locate the desired item following the directions provided in the Using Search article
- Click the Edit button to the left of the desired activity
- Click the Other Actions button in the toolbar
- Click the Edit File Details option.
- Repository: Click the Select button to the right of the Repository field.
- Search and locate the new repository name
- Check the checkbox to the left of the repository name
- Click the Select button at the top of the screen
- You will be returned to the Edit File screen.
- Click the Save button at the top of the screen.
- The Repository Name will reflect the new repository
- Click the Close button to exit the Edit File screen.
- Click the Close button to exit the Edit Activity screen.
THUMBNAIL: ADD, REMOVE AND REPLACE
A thumbnail is a small image that will display on the user's Training Tab when they have selected the small or large icon view. It's a picture that represents what the activity or qualification/training program is about.
You can add thumbnails to any activity or qualification/training program. Please refer to the Activities: Add, Remove and Replace a Thumbnail article for instructions to add thumbnails to an activity or qualification.
